Page Layout

The notes page consists of two main sections: the navigation panel on the left and the note listing area on the right. These two sections work together to provide quick access to your notes.

Left Panel (Navigation)

Clinical and personal context toggle, client-session tree (clinical) or folder tree (personal) are located here. The panel is collapsible — when collapsed, only icons are visible.

Right Area (Note List)

Status tabs (Active / Archived / Trash), search bar, filter and sorting tools, note cards, and pagination are located here.

Tip
Collapse the left panel to free up more space for the note list. In collapsed mode, hover over icons to see the full text.

Clinical and Personal Context

Use the two buttons at the top of the left panel to switch between clinical and personal context. Each context offers a different navigation structure and different filter options.

Clinical

Displays your clinical notes linked to clients. The left panel shows a client list with sessions listed in a tree structure underneath. Session Mode and Mental State filters are only available in this context.

Personal

Displays your private personal notes. The left panel shows the folder tree. You can organize your notes using folders.

When you switch context, all filters, search, and page number are reset — you start with a clean view in the new context.

For detailed information on creating notes and context settings:

Status Tabs

Filter your notes by their status using the three tabs at the top of the note list. Each tab shows the count of notes in that status.

Active

The default tab. Your current, active notes are listed here.

Archived

Your archived notes are listed here. Archived cards are displayed in amber tones with a faded appearance.

Trash

Your deleted notes are listed here. Trash cards are displayed in red tones with strikethrough titles. Each card shows "Will be permanently deleted in X days" information.

Tip
Deleted notes are kept in trash for 30 days. They are automatically permanently deleted after this period.

Search and Filtering

Start typing in the search field at the top of the note list to filter your notes by title, content, and tag information. Use the × button in the search field to clear your search.

Filters

Created Date

Filter using quick options (last 7 days, last 30 days, this month, last month) or a custom date range.

Updated Date

Same structure as created date, filters by the note's last edit date.

Tag

Your tags can be selected from the list. Select multiple tags to perform an intersection search.

Note Type

System note types and your custom note types are listed. You can select multiple types.

Session Mode

Clinical

Mental State

Clinical

Active Filters

When filters are applied, your active filters are displayed above the note list. Use the × next to each filter to remove it, or "Clear All" to reset all filters.

Sorting and View Modes

You can arrange the note list with three different sorting options:

Last Modified

View Modes

You can display note cards in two different views:

Important Notes

When you select a client, session, or folder from the left panel, the note list is automatically filtered. Navigation works as an additional filter alongside your other filters.

When you switch context (Clinical ↔ Personal), all filters and search are reset.

Session Mode and Mental State filters are only visible in clinical context — they are hidden for personal notes.

In preview mode, hover over a card to zoom into the note content — you can quickly glance at a long note without opening it.

Notes in trash are automatically permanently deleted after 30 days. Restore any notes you want to keep before this period expires.

Use the "+" button at the bottom-right of the page to create a new note matching your current context.
