Overview

The payment summary dashboard sits on the left side of the Payments page. It provides three summary cards (This Month's Revenue, Overdue Payments, and This Month's Sessions) that give you quick insights into your finances without having to analyze the entire table.

This Month's Revenue

The This Month's Revenue card shows your total collections for the current month:

Total Revenue

Sum of all payments received this month (payment date-based)

Monthly Change

Percentage change compared to last month (green = up, red = down)

Monthly Target

Your revenue goal with a progress bar showing completion percentage

Edit Target

Click the pencil icon to set or update your monthly revenue target.

Trend Analysis

Click "Analyze Trends" to see detailed monthly revenue charts.

Overdue Payments (Amount)

The Overdue Payments card highlights payments that need attention:

Total Overdue Amount

Sum of all unpaid sessions where the date has passed

Session Count

Number of overdue sessions

Top Clients

Avatar icons of clients with the most overdue payments

Quick Filter

Click a client avatar to instantly filter the table to that client's sessions.

Tip
The "+X more" indicator shows how many additional clients have overdue payments beyond the top 3 shown.

This Month's Sessions

The This Month's Sessions card shows revenue based on session dates (not payment dates):

Total Sessions

Total expected revenue from sessions this month

Paid Amount

Amount already collected for this month's sessions

Unpaid Amount

Remaining amount to be collected

Progress Bar

Visual breakdown of paid (green) vs unpaid (yellow) amounts

6-Month History

Click "Last 6 Months" to see a stacked bar chart of paid/unpaid by month.

Collection vs Session Revenue

Understanding the difference between the two revenue cards:

This Month's Revenue (Collection)

Based on payment date - shows actual money received this month, regardless of when the session occurred.

This Month's Sessions

Based on session date - shows expected revenue from sessions scheduled this month, regardless of when payment is received.

Tip
Example: A client pays in January for a session that occurred in December. This appears in January's collection but December's session revenue.
