Learn how to configure your preferred email service for sending messages from Mindora.

Overview

Mindora lets you send emails to clients directly from the app. You can choose your preferred email service, and Mindora will open it with a pre-filled message ready to send.

Tip
Your email preference is saved automatically and used for all future email communications.

Choosing Your Email Service

The first time you send an email from Mindora, you'll be asked to choose your preferred email service:

Gmail

No setup required

Opens Gmail in your browser with the message ready to send.

Best for Gmail users.

Outlook.com

No setup required

Opens Outlook.com in your browser.

Best for Microsoft/Outlook users.

Yahoo Mail

No setup required

Opens Yahoo Mail in your browser.

Best for Yahoo Mail users.

Desktop App

Requires setup

Opens your computer's default email app (Apple Mail, Outlook desktop, Thunderbird, etc.).

Best for desktop email app users.

You can change your preference anytime from Settings → Message Templates.

Web Email Services (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo)

If you select Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo:

  • Mindora opens the email service directly in a new browser tab.
  • The recipient, subject, and message body are pre-filled.
  • Just click Send in your email service.
Tip
No additional setup is needed. Just make sure you're logged into your email account in your browser.

Desktop App Setup

If you prefer using a desktop email app (like Apple Mail, Outlook desktop, or Thunderbird), you may need to configure your browser or operating system.

macOS Setup

To set your default email app on macOS:

Open Mail app

Open the built-in Mail application.

Go to Settings

Click Mail → Settings in the menu bar.

Change default email app

Set "Default email reader" to your preferred app (Mail, Outlook, etc.).

Windows Setup

To set your default email app on Windows:

Open Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Default Apps

Navigate to Apps → Default apps.

Set email app

Click "Mail" and select your preferred email app.

Browser Handler (Optional)

Some browsers need to know how to handle email links. If clicking an email link doesn't open your app:

Chrome

Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Additional permissions → Protocol handlers.

Firefox

Go to Settings → General → Applications → mailto → select your app.

Edge

Go to Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Protocol handlers.

Testing Your Setup

To verify your email setup works:

Go to any page where you can send an email (e.g., Payments)

Click send and choose your email service

Your email app should open with the message ready

Tip
If it doesn't work, try restarting your browser or checking your default app settings.

Changing Your Preference

To change your email service preference:

Go to Settings → Message Templates

Find the "Email Service" section

Click to select a different service

Tip
Your new preference will be used for all future emails.
