Overview

Mindora uses WhatsApp Web links (wa.me) to open WhatsApp with pre-filled messages. For this to work, you need WhatsApp Web open in your browser or WhatsApp Desktop installed.

Option 1: WhatsApp Web

The simplest option - use WhatsApp directly in your browser:

1

Open WhatsApp Web

Go to web.whatsapp.com.

2

Scan QR code

Use your phone to scan the QR code.

3

Keep tab open

Keep WhatsApp Web open in a browser tab while using Mindora.

Tip
WhatsApp Web works best when kept open in a separate browser tab. When you click a WhatsApp link in Mindora, the message will open in your WhatsApp Web tab.

Option 2: WhatsApp Desktop

For a more seamless experience, install the desktop app:

1

Download WhatsApp Desktop

Get it from whatsapp.com/download or your app store.

2

Install and login

Scan QR code with your phone to connect.

3

Set as default

Your browser should now open WhatsApp links in the desktop app.

Browser Settings

Make sure your browser opens WhatsApp links correctly:

Chrome

When you first click a WhatsApp link, Chrome will ask which app to use. Select WhatsApp and check "Always open" to remember your choice.

Firefox

Firefox will prompt you to choose an application. Select WhatsApp Desktop and check "Remember my choice" for future links.

Safari

Safari on macOS will automatically open WhatsApp Desktop if installed. If not, it will open WhatsApp Web in a new tab.

How It Works

When you send a WhatsApp message from Mindora:

1

Click "Send via WhatsApp"

In the send window, click the WhatsApp button.

2

WhatsApp opens

WhatsApp Web or Desktop opens with the message pre-filled.

3

Review and send

Check the message, make any changes, and hit send.

Testing

To verify WhatsApp is set up correctly:

  • Make sure WhatsApp Web or Desktop is open and logged in.
  • In Mindora, try sending a test message to yourself.
  • WhatsApp should open with the message ready to send.
Tip
If WhatsApp doesn't open, make sure you have WhatsApp Web open in a browser tab or WhatsApp Desktop installed.
Link opens but no message?
If WhatsApp opens but the message is empty, check that the client has a valid phone number with country code (e.g., +90 for Turkey, +1 for US). Phone numbers must include the country code for WhatsApp links to work correctly.
Mobile Users
If you're using Mindora on a mobile device, WhatsApp links will automatically open in your WhatsApp mobile app. No additional setup is required.
