Uniqueness Error

If another type with the same name already exists, you'll see "A note type with this name already exists" error. You must choose a different name.

Archiving a Note Type

Instead of deleting a type you no longer want to use, you can archive it. Archived types cannot be selected for new notes, but existing notes are unaffected.

How to Archive?

1

Open the three-dot menu on the type's row.

2

Click the "Archive" option.

3

Click "Confirm" in the confirmation dialog.

Cascade Effect

When a type is archived, all active templates belonging to that type are also automatically archived.

Quick Undo

After archiving, a 5-second notification appears at the bottom of the screen. Click "Undo" to instantly reverse the action.

Tip
Archived types can be viewed from the "Archived" tab and restored with "Reactivate".

Restoring from Archive

To reactivate an archived type:

1

Switch to the "Archived" tab.

2

Click "Reactivate" from the type's menu.

Cascade Effect

When the type is activated, archived templates belonging to that type are also automatically activated.

Deleting a Note Type

When you delete note types, they are moved to trash. This is a soft delete operation - not permanent deletion.

How to Delete?

1

Open the three-dot menu on the type's row.

2

Click the red "Delete" option.

3

Click "Confirm" in the confirmation dialog.

Cascade Effect

When a type is deleted, all templates belonging to that type (active and archived) are also automatically moved to trash.

Note Migration

In Mindora, every note must belong to a type. This keeps your notes meaningfully grouped and always organized.

Therefore, when a note type is deleted, all notes belonging to that type are automatically migrated to the category's (clinical / personal) default type. The notes' template reference is also cleared (becomes blank template). Your notes never end up without a type.

Quick Undo

After deleting, a 5-second notification appears at the bottom of the screen. Click "Undo" to instantly restore the type.

Tip
Deleted types remain in trash for 30 days and can be restored anytime.

Restoring from Trash

To restore a deleted type:

1

Switch to the "Deleted" tab.

2

Click "Restore" from the type's menu.

Cascade Effect

When the type is restored, deleted templates belonging to that type are also automatically restored.

Tip
If there's an active type with the same name, a number is automatically added to the restored type's name (e.g., "My Type (2)").

Important Restrictions

Name Uniqueness

Two types with the same name cannot exist in the same organization and language. This rule applies to active and archived types.

Language is Fixed

A type's language cannot be changed after creation. Separate types must be created for different languages.
