What is e-SMM?

e-SMM (Elektronik Serbest Meslek Makbuzu) is the electronic version of the freelancer receipt required by Turkish tax law. Psychologists and therapists registered as freelancers must issue these receipts for their services.

Sales Invoice vs e-SMM

Sales Invoice (Satis Faturasi)

A standard document created in Parasut. If e-SMM is not activated, Mindora creates a sales invoice instead. This is NOT a legal freelancer receipt.

e-SMM (Serbest Meslek Makbuzu)

An official receipt registered with GIB (Revenue Administration). After e-SMM activation is completed, Mindora automatically creates e-SMM instead of a regular sales invoice.

Important
If you see "Satis Faturasi" in Parasut instead of e-SMM, it means the e-SMM activation has not been completed yet. Complete the steps below to start issuing legal receipts.

e-SMM Activation in Parasut

To issue e-SMM through Mindora, you must first complete the activation in Parasut. This is a one-time setup:

1

Obtain Digital Signature or Seal

Individual practitioners: e-Signature or fiscal seal. Companies: fiscal seal only. Obtain from TUBITAK Public Certification Center (approx. 1,740 TL for 3 years). Delivery takes 3-10 business days.

2

Apply for e-SMM in Parasut

In Parasut, go to left menu > Applications > "e-Mikro Elektronik Serbest Meslek Makbuzu". Parasut is an authorized integrator — no separate GIB application needed.

3
