Notifications
Frequently asked questions about notification types, the notification bell, the notifications page, notification preferences, and Do Not Disturb.
Notifications
Notifications let you instantly know about important events in your Mindora account. You receive real-time alerts for booking requests, payments, security alerts, and more.
The main notification types are:
- Booking Request: new online booking requests from your clients.
- Booking Confirmation: a heads-up for automatically confirmed bookings.
- Session Reminder: a reminder 15 minutes before your sessions.
- Payment Received: payments made by your clients.
- Client Archival Suggestion: suggestions to archive clients you haven't seen in a long time.
- Note Reminder: a reminder at the date and time you set for your notes.
- Security Alerts: new device logins and password/2FA changes.
You reach your notifications in two places:
- Notification Bell: the bell icon in the header. When you have unread notifications, a red counter appears on the bell. Clicking it lists your recent notifications, where you can mark them read/unread or open the notifications page with View All.
- Notifications Page: opens via the View All button and shows all your notifications in detail. The page has All, Unread, and Read tabs, filters by type and date, and sorting. Scroll down to load more notifications.
The actions available on each notification depend on its type:
- Read/Unread: click the envelope icon to toggle. Unread notifications are marked with a blue stripe on their left edge.
- Delete: remove a notification via Delete in the three-dot menu. Deleted notifications cannot be recovered.
- Approve / Reject: booking request notifications offer Approve and Reject buttons directly on the notification, so you can respond quickly without leaving the page.
Preferences and Behavior
From the Settings → Notifications tab you customize which notifications you receive. Preferences are split into four groups, and you can turn each group on or off separately:
- Appointments and Calendar: new booking requests, automatically confirmed bookings, and session reminders.
- Clinical Alerts: note reminders and archival suggestions for clients you haven't seen in a long time.
- Financial: a notification when you receive a payment from your clients.
- System and Security: new device logins, password/2FA changes, and product updates.
When you enable Do Not Disturb, instant push notifications are not sent during the time range you set. Notifications are not lost; they are saved and wait for you in your notification center once the period ends.
The only exception is session reminders: because these are sent 15 minutes ahead and are time-sensitive, they are skipped entirely during Do Not Disturb. You pick the start and end times from dropdown menus.
Some critical notifications cannot be turned off for security and operational reasons. These always reach you:
- New booking requests
- Automatically confirmed bookings
- New device logins
- Password and 2FA changes
You can turn all other notification groups on or off as needed.
